Jack C. Cole
Specializes in the study of Gastroenterology. He completed Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University Medical Center of East Carolina School of Medicine. He was Clinical Instructor at ECU School of Medicine before entering private practice in 1995. Dr. Cole graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in 1982, with a BA in Biology.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Health Sciences, Kansas City, MO in 1989, and completed an internship and residency at ECU Department of Internal Medicine in 1992. He has also been a Research Investigator in numerous pharmaceutical trials with Carolina Research.
Dr. Geoffrey You graduated with summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo’s advanced honors program, where he would go on to complete his medical school education. He received various awards during his internal medicine residency training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for his clinical excellence and research in numerous gastrointestinal illnesses. He later completed his gastroenterology fellowship and served as a chief fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He received extensive training in the diagnosis and management of GERD, peptic ulcer disease, Irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and disorders of the small intestine, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and liver.
Dr. You is highly skilled in colon cancer screening, and colon polyp removal.
Dr. Donald Tsynman is a double-board certified gastroenterologist who joined Gastroenterology East in 2020. He completed a residency with distinction in Internal Medicine at the MCP Hahnemann University Hospital of Drexel University in Philadelphia. Thereafter, Dr. Tsynman received his specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at The University of Rochester Medical Center. His clinical interests include colon cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment of GERD and reflux, peptic ulcer disease as well as Irritable Bowel Syndrome and colon polyp treatments. Dr. Tsynman speaks Russian and Spanish fluently and in his spare times enjoys adventure travel, the outdoors, and looks forward to further learning about and exploring his adoptive home state of North Carolina.
Heather A Larsen
Heather graduated in 2015 with her Masters of Nursing from East Carolina University where she specialized as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Larsen also received her undergraduate degree as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health from East Carolina University.
She has been with the practice for many years as a registered nurse and has vast experience in Gastroenterology.
Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, Jordan earned her Bachelor‘s degree in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a member of the Honors College. She later returned to ECU where she graduated from their Physician Assistant Studies Program with her Master’s degree.
Prior to becoming a nationally certified and North Carolina licensed Physician Assistant, Jordan worked at our practice for several years in a variety of different roles where she gained valuable experience in gastroenterology.
Tori attended East Carolina University and graduated Magna Cum Laude studying Global Health and Nutrition Science through the Honors College. Upon graduation, she spent a year working for our practice, learning, and developing a strong interest in gastroenterology. Tori then returned to East Carolina University for her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
She has a passion for service in Eastern North Carolina and internationally. Tori has been involved in the leadership of local community programs and medical mission work in Honduras.
